I know this place has been pretty dead for a while... I hope this will help a little. I recently decided to make a picspam showcasing my favorite Sam hair moments over the 7 seasons of Supernatural. The first third or so covers season 1-early season 2, which I thought was appropriate for this comm. *grin*

Hiya, everyone! Wow, it's been pretty quiet in here lately... Hope to fix that soon. I've recently gotten into making SPN drawings, and I plan to do one of Sam from the season 2 promo pics. When I have it done I'll post it here. Also, if any of you have any ideas how to make this comm more active, please let me know!

Also wanted to drop off some new fic. I got inspired to write a missing scene from ELAC, and this is what resulted....

Notice that Jared has the bangs parted slightly in this pic (if it isn't manipped at all, and it doesn't appear to be). I wonder if this was a portent of things to come? As far as I know, the season 2 promo photoshoot was done around the time they were filming ELAC. I wonder if anyone involved knew that Sam's style would be heading in this direction... or if they just thought it'd look different/artsy/whatever to style the bangs back from his face for this particular photo. It's the only one I've seen in the whole shoot where he's looked like this.

I know it's been a little quiet in here, too, but wanted to let ya'll know I'm planning to do a Sam/Jared's Bangs type of picspam soon. Even have an appropriate song to use lyrics for it. :D Expect it soon (I guess this is actually a good thing about hellatus - otherwise I'd never have any time to even start something liek this, lol)

Anyway, I just had to post this. I thought it was quite appropriate to this comm.

'Supernatural': Jared Padalecki on Sam's evolving hair

Of particular interest is this blurb:

When the show first began, Sam was merely a college student at Stanford looking to get into law school and his hair reflected his innocence and youth. "They wanted Dean to have short hair and Sam to have long hair, they really did," he explains. "But the bangs, I think they thought they looked young."

As the seasons wore on and many miles were added to the Impala, Sam's hair grew longer and fans said goodbye to the "Gilmore Girls" era bangs. "I think they wanted me to look a little bit older, because that's younger. Who knows? Maybe it will [go back to how it was before]. I don't know."
